Who's There? The Painted Owl

I got this little guy at Goodwill for $.99. I thought he was stuck in the 70's so I decided to give him a little makeover.

First I sprayed him with plastic spray paint primer (because that's what I had on hand). After the primer dried, he was sprayed with Valspar Gloss Tropical Oasis. I know this is dumb, but I didn't like spraying his eyes. I felt like I was blinding him.  I added a twirly twine scarf to dress him up a bit. This project was so simple and speedily satisfying.

I am now addicted to Valspar spray paint. They offer so many beautiful colors. I told my husband that if he begins to notice paint  marks around my nose and mouth, he might want to schedule an intervention. HA!

Tresa-
He turned out great! You're so creative! I've just got to get back to creating some things. I've been so focused on blogging and collecting cute vintage stuff (the easy part), that I've gotten away from making things. You've really been inspiring me to get out that spray paint!

He's actually feeling much better after his 'makeover' and the paint on the eyes, well, he's wearing his 'shades' to be cool!

So cute!! Where do you get Valspar spray paint? I usually use the brand that OSH sales..it works fairly well, but this color is wonderful!!

Thank you! I found Valspar at Lowe's. Today, I tried using two other brands on glass, and it was a flop. I'm sticking to Valspar. They have beautiful spray paint color choices.
