Lunch with my Sweetie

Joel and I don't get a lot of weekend time with each other anymore due to his work schedule, so we took advantage of our Sunday together and headed to one of our favorite restaurants, the Back 40 Junction in Decatur.

The dining room is very rustic with an eclectic assortment of railroad lights and memorabilia including Burma Shave signs. Our food was delicious and the desserts, even better. The restaurant sells an assortment of "retro" candy so Joel stocked up on his favorite (candy cigs).

What a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon...great conversation, a lot of laughter and a mega buffet.

Mallory: thank you...we DID have a nice afternoon.

Leasa: I think Dad would like this place...maybe we can take him this summer.

I thought the same thing about dad. That would be great. I'm sure he would have stories to tell on the way about people who live around there or how he spent time there. :-)
